Creating a truly sustainable jacket through zero waste techniques. The cutting pattern used is shown here as well as the final model. The thread, buttons, and material are all thrifted and the waste amounted to less than a fistful of scraps. This shows what can be done in the fashion industry if one thinks in an innovative way.

Process: Sewing the shacket pattern together took patience and precision. I used scraps to create a collar and cuffs, and the pockets were a geometry challenge when cutting and planning the pattern. I then added four buttons towards the top of the neck line.
Final Design: A zero waste pattern with four buttons and two front pockets.
